About & Submission Policy

What Herald34 is

Herald34 is a free web directory run in the tradition of the printer's shop — a place where every listing is reviewed, set in type, and filed in the right column before it goes to press. The directory holds 831 entries across 22 sections, from Personals and Motor Trade to Technology and Travel.

How it works

Submissions arrive at the composing room, where the compositor checks each domain for an active site and a genuine trade. Accepted entries are typeset into the appropriate section and published without fee or delay. The forme is reset regularly as new submissions arrive and old entries leave the trade.

Who it is for

Herald34 is built for two kinds of reader: those looking for a site in a particular trade, and those who run a site and want it found. Both are welcome at the composing stick. The directory charges nothing to browse and nothing to list — the press runs on principle, not on subscription.

The sections

Twenty-two sections cover the main trades of the web, from the large Gaming Houses column and the broad Sundry Trades forme to the compact Land Agents and Document Works sections. Every entry in the directory is filed under one section only, keeping the ledger clean and readable.

Adding your site

To submit a site to Herald34, use the Add a Site form. Supply the URL, choose the most fitting section, and write a brief description of the trade. The compositor reviews submissions and sets accepted entries in type. There is no charge, no waiting list, and no minimum requirements beyond an active domain.
